Who knew a flower could mean so much?

Reader,

I posted this on Instagram yesterday morning, not planning to share it here with you. But then something unexpected happened...

This flower lives across the street from my house.

It gives me hope.

It bloomed with help from the rain and sun, but it stands alone.

There's not another one like it in sight.

Every time I walk by, I feel grateful and inspired.

Growing can feel hard and lonely at times, especially when others are on a different path.

But your growth will inspire others, too.

Even if you have to stand alone sometimes.

The unexpected part...

Later that day, while making dinner, I heard the sound of lawnmowers.

Every month or so, a landscaping crew comes through to mow the neighborhood parkway.

Last night was the night.

Panicked, I ran outside to save my flower muse.

At first glance, my heart sank. I thought I was too late.

Then, I saw it.

Whoever mowed this patch of grass must've been inspired by this special golden flower, too.

My partner thanked the kind soul who spared the flower. The person responded with, "There's some story behind that flower. How did it get there?"

People are good. There is beauty everywhere. That flower is still standing, and so are we.

In these dark, overwhelming times, I needed that flower.

I hope it provides you with a little light, too.

Is there something small that has been giving you hope lately? I'd love to hear. Reply and let me know.

Wishing you many hopeful, beauty-full moments,

Sandi
